The ALAP bag provides everything you need to carry out the “Help a child, help a family” activity. It is designed to be a common resource for Lions clubs to facilitate the organisation of ALAP activities. Use this guide to order the supplies you need and assemble your own bag for clubs to use together.

Order parts for the bag
Start making your ALAP bag by ordering the necessary parts from our online shops. Below you will find the links to order the necessary parts. You can also purchase parts from places of your choice, but the ones below have been found to be good. For example, the size and design of the bag has been found to be just the right size.
Order the accessories below before assembling your bag.
a) Millenium Touring Trolley Bag
Order one bag, great for transporting in the car or towing in the back, durable, big enough for roll ups and other necessary accessories.

b) Plexiglas stands for collection point advertisements (A3)
Racks to be placed on the table of a collection point to hold A3 advertisements. Put the same advertisement in the main language on both sides or minority languages on different sides of the rack.
Quantity: 1 per language for the collection point advertisements and 1 per language for the “call to action” advertisement.

c) Cardboard bubble box for A3 advertisements
Advertisements that are not on plexiglass or laminated should be protected by a roll up sleeve. Get a protective case if you do not laminate the advertisements to be placed in the bag. These are available from the post office, for example, or from the online shop below.

Ordering printed products for your bag
If you are assembling your own club bag or making club-specific printed products, use the official printed products of the Finnish Lions Union and print them as you wish (printing house/printing). Note: The content of these may not be modified without the permission of the Federation.
If, on the other hand, you are making a so-called loaner bag for common use and sharing among clubs, you will need printed materials without club-specific names. District B has had to create special printed materials for this purpose, including a digital path for recruiting followers and new members. Ordering printed products from your own printing house
Below you can download the B-circle print files from Google Drive if you want to order print products from your preferred printer. You are free to edit and use the images, following Lions’ graphic guidelines. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the union bases in ALAP boxes, due to their limitations.
d) Roll ups (850 x 2000 mm)
For roll-up ads, you can use both the ALAP collection roll-up and other Lions roll-ups. For example, an ALAP roll-up is ideal for the entrance to a shop, while a collection point can be used to display your club’s own Lions roll-up. Use roll-ups flexibly and according to your needs to enhance communication and visibility.

e) ALAP advertisement for corridors (A3)
This advertisement is designed to promote the collection in the aisle of a shop or shopping centre using advertising stands on loan from the retailer. We use the A3 size because of its low printing costs. Otherwise, the size could also be A2.

f) Flyers for trade customers
This flyer is intended to be handed out at the entrance of the shop to customers entering the shop. The size of the flyer is 99 x 210 mm and the print file has a 3 mm bleed for the printer.
The flyers are available at 🇫🇮 in Finnish, 🇸🇪 in Swedish and 🇬🇧 in English.

g) Collection point advertisement (A3)
An advertisement to be placed on the collection point table (remember to also order an A3 tray) or on the shopping trolley, inviting you to return the purchased products to this collection point.

NOTE: To order a Plexiglas rack / tongue, place the same advertisement on both sides of the rack. For less frequently used languages, you can put a different language on both sides of the rack.
h) Follow us (A3) advertisement
An advertisement for the collection point table (remember to order an A3 plexiglass holder as well) to attract followers to the WhatsApp group in your area. The aim of the group is to create a common marketing channel where people interested in Lions events in your area can easily stay informed and get involved.
Quantity: 2 pieces + 4 spare pieces per language.

2. Instructions for the construction of the bag
Once you have all the parts you can assemble the bag using the instructions below.
